Parent & caregiver support

Looking after yourself while you look after others.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (U.S.) to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Caregiving can be deeply meaningful and also exhausting. Your wellbeing matters, both for you and for the people you care for.

Connecting with other parents and caregivers, asking for practical help, and knowing where to find respite or support services can make a real difference.

Things to consider

  • Look for local or online parent support groups.
  • Ask about respite care and what your state or coverage may offer.
  • Talk to your own doctor if stress, sleep, or mood are affecting you.

Who to talk to

Your own primary care provider, and local disability or family support organizations.
