Accessibility Statement
Pre-launch draft. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer and will be finalized before launch.
ABMC aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is part of how we design, write, and publish. This is a goal we work toward; the site has not had a formal third-party audit.
What we’ve built in
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus outline and a skip-to-content link.
- High-contrast dark theme with gold accents chosen for readability.
- Reduced motion respected when your device requests it; videos never autoplay.
- Descriptive image text, semantic headings, and labeled form fields with clear error messages.
- Layouts that work on phones, tablets, and desktop screens, and plain-language guides.
Captions and transcripts
Caption status is shown on each video. We only state that captions or transcripts exist once we have confirmed them. Some videos do not yet have confirmed captions.
Known limits
- The video player is provided by YouTube, and its controls are outside our control.
- Linked government and partner websites have their own accessibility.
